2024 Holiday Card Photos & Opportunities to Connect

Scroll down to the see explanations of the photos and a couple bonus photos. But first, here are the opportunities I mentioned on the card to connect more to the spirituality of this season as well as continous support to stay connected.

The Connected Collective

The Connected Collective is an online community including monthly calls, practices, insights and a lot of sharing. It’s a place for you to explore, find and foster connection, to share the ups and downs of life, and feel seen, safe, supported in a place where all of you is truly welcome and belongs. Winter SOULstice Gatherings

Winter SOULstice events honor my favorite holiday of the sacred season. Each Solstice/Equinox, I host Sacred Transitions Gatherings to connect with and harness the energy of the season. There are two gatherings: online and in-person in Portland, Maine - take time to honor the Sacred Season & your Sacred Soul. You can learn more and sign up here.

The Connected Way Podcast

The Connected Way™ Podcast explores all things connection, and the latest episodes offer specific insight into the Holiday Season - looking at the energy of December, as well as the traditions and origins of all the holidays this season and how they’re all very connected. Essential Reconnection Toolkit

This FREE Toolkit offers 7 simple yet powerful practices you can lean on daily to nurture your inner balance or turn to whenever life feels especially challenging. Think of it as your personal Connection Toolkit, designed to help you reconnect with yourself and the deeper spiritual grounding you need to navigate this season with grace and ease.

A Sacred January Journey

The Sacred January Journey is a 4-week Journey to help you ease into 2025. Each week you receive videos with prompts, exercises and considerations related to the weekly theme to help you connect with your inner wisdom, reflect on and honor your 2024, set Sacred Intentions for your 2025 and align your life with those intentions. There are optional integration calls on Tuesday. Learn more here.

Some of the Highlights of My Year

It’s hard to sum up the highs of this year as there were many bright spots, but those that I share on the card are explained here:

  1. Taken by a photographer and friend after one of the three wedding ceremonies I designed and officiated this year. I have also begun designing and facilitating funerals, which has been such an honor.

  2. I got to experience not one but TWO amazing nights of Northern Lights right here in Maine!! This is one of MANY photos I took that are so indicative of Magical More!

  3. The Church of Nossa Senhora da Paz on the Island of Sao Miguel in the Azores. This beautiful church has twelve.

  4. Taco and I went on countless walks on the beach and in the woods throughout the year.

  5. Also on Sao Miguel, the Gorreana Tea Plantation is the oldest Tea Plantation in Europe, and the first Tea Plantation I’d ever visited.

  6. Up at Sugarloaf, with friends and family, I experienced Totality of the Full Solar Eclipse. It was a profound and magical experience. The photo below shows the surreal twilight and the group of us standing looking up at the sky.

7. Launched The Connected Way Podcast starting with Season One: Election Connection exploring politics, disconnection, connection and the trajectory of our society. 25 episodes in 75 days was a push but it was so rewarding! You can check out all the episodes including the holiday episodes here.

8. Also launched The Connected Collective, an online Community built for anyone who longs for a place to belong and also wants to live more connected. I also really got clear on the mission and vision of what The Connected Way is all about. You can learn more about that here.

9. With the family in Sao Miguel overlooking one of the Island’s gorgeous Crater Lakes.

10. On another part of Sao Miguel - two crater lakes in Sete Cidades called Lagoa Azul (Blue Lake) and Lagoa Verde (Green Lake). The Crater Lakes were a highlight of the trip, as were the many hot spring swims. By far the coolest was swimming in the ocean in a tidal pool that had a hot spring feeding into it, so it was warm ocean water in that spot along the lava rock. A photo of that is on the right.

11. I have continued my passion for growing dahlias. They are an exercise in trial and error, releasing control, and truly appreciating beauty. I planted about 50 bulbs this year and about 35 of them bloomed. I am incredibly grateful for this passion and the beauty and connection it provides!

I wish you all the best as you move through the Holiday Season and into the New Year. May you notice and foster the light within you and all around you so that we may drive out the darkness.
